We were also treated to a guided tour - what a project - such a lovely house - complete with a secret garden door into the next door churchyard - last picture 😊. #secretdoor The owners visited us about 8 weeks ago and we helped them choose this bunch. Somerset to the Thames. A barge originally built in 1937 for commercial use is being transformed into a stunning home - check out the gorgeous living space its owners have created in the second pic. We don’t usually have to factor in tide times with deliveries 🤣but the lucky 6 column, c1930 itself, is now all onboard for its new life! It is going to be a proper feature in the guest cabin, at the foot of the bed. We can’t wait to see pictures of it when it’s installed! 135 years ago these radiators were supplied by “Rosser & Russell of London” to a magnificent Cotswold Village Church. We imagine they were carried by men, no longer with us, through this very door. I wonder what those men, our great grandfathers contemporaries, would have thought of our electric sack trucks?! The radiators have stood through generations of village services, marriages and funerals. Last month they were disconnected and last week we collected them. Where will their next chapter be? We reclaim a lot of radiators from Churches, all special, and this set of 4 pillared radiators is no exception. As lovely as the church they have come from, right down to their rosette wall ties. The church has just invested in an overhead far infrared heating system that is quite amazing - will share some pics of it in another reel - much more suited to the modern congregation’s needs, the boiler & these masterpieces have been retired …We look forward to giving someone else the opportunity to enjoy them for another few generations 🫶 #originalfeatures #churchradiators #pillars #home #house #reclaimedradiators #castironradiators #antiques #uniquefurniture #cotswoldstyle #historicpreservation
